I have been trying to get back on track with my exercise routine after those dangerous two months of parties, but I notice that each month when my period comes around, it seems impossible to get past the cravings and fatigue. What causes this and what can I do to get around it?
- Crazy Cravings
The symptoms you describe, food cravings and fatigue, around the time of your period sound like they are most consistent with typical symptoms of menstruation, which, when severe, can be called premenstrual syndrome (PMS). I understand your concern and disdain with these symptoms, as they do seem to counteract your desire to maintain a healthy lifestyle with exercise and eating healthy. Lose fat? I want to fit into my size 2 skinny jeans better?
Okay so my stats:
130 lbs at 5’6 // 1.67 meters at 59 kg (9 stone 4 lbs)
22% body fat
about 25-26 inch waist and a 34 under bra line
I want to fit better into my size 2 jeans. It’s too hard though. I used to workout every day, sometimes two or three times a day and eat oatmeal for breakfast, salad for lunch and salad for dinner and I didn’t lose anything. I felt the lovehandles still there!!
Now I’ve been skipping meals. Between today and yesterday I’ve only eaten twice. (I want to generally slim down muscle and fat). I hate that working out and eating well didn’t give me results. Any one tried the Dukan diet?
Any other tips to slim down quickly? Perhaps a juice fast?
Personally I don’t know if I believe the body stores the next meal as fat, I think it just uses those calories for whatever work I did that day and since there is a deficit, actually my body uses a bit of itself as fuel.
